Overnight Road Closure: Eastbound Redbridge Causeway - 28-29th April

Thursday, March 15 2018

Please be aware that we expect some disruption to our Bluestar 9 and 12 services due to the Eastbound carriageway of the A35 Redbridge Causeway being closed between Rushington Roundabout and Redbridge Roundabout, for essential maintenance and repairs, on the following dates:

From 20:00 on Saturday 14th to 06:00 on Sunday 15th April, and again from 20:00 on Sunday 15th to 06:00 on Monday 16th April.

From 20:00 on Saturday 21st to 06:00 on Sunday 22nd April, and again from 20:00 on Sunday 22nd to 06:00 on Monday 23rd April.

From 20:00 on Saturday 28th to 06:00 on Sunday 29th April, and again from 20:00 on Sunday 29th to 06:00 on Monday 30th April.

Bluestar 9:

Buses towards Southampton will divert at Rushington Roundabout back on themselves along the A35 Spicers Hill then via the A326, M27 and M271 to the Redbridge Roundabout where buses will resume normal route.

This means we will be unable to serve the following bus stop:

Totton, Rushington Roundabout
But will alternatively serve: Rushington, Spicers Hill

Bluestar 12:

Buses towards Southampton from Calmore will run along the A36 Salisbury Road towards Totton town centre as normal, but then use Library Road and Beaumont Road to Commercial Road facing the wrong way. Buses will then run back along the A36 Salisbury Road to the A326 and via the M27 and M271 to Redbridge Roundabout to resume normal route.

This means we will be unable to serve the following bus btops:

Commercial Road , Totton Shopping Centre,
Commercial Road , Totton Station,
But will alternatively serve: Commercial Road, St Teresas RC Church

Additionally, we will be unable to serve:
Redbridge Causeway, Redbridge Roundabout,
But will continue to serve as an alternative: Redbridge Road, Redbridge School.

We expect that inbound buses may run up to 10 minutes later than scheduled between Redbridge Roundabout and Southampton City Centre, however, outbound departure times from Southampton West Quay should not be affected.

We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
