ways to pay

There are four ways of buying tickets for travel on bluestar and unilink; cash or contactless to the driver, key smartcard, the mobile app or from the Bluestar travel shop in Southampton. There are a number of tickets available including single and return tickets, dayriders and period tickets.

singles & return tickets

Single and return tickets are perfect if you're only travelling now and again. Take a look at our fares. Pay by cash or contactless.

day tickets

Valid for a whole days unlimited travel, hop on and off our buses as much as you like in one day.

period tickets

If you travel regulary you can save money by getting a 7, 30, 90 day or annual ticket. Start saving today! 


child tickets

If you're 5-15 years old you're eligible for child fares. We have great value singles, returns and weekly child tickets too. Children under 5 travel for free, with a fare paying adult...

student travel

Need to travel to school or college? We've got you covered. If you're studying at a college in Southampton you may also be eligible for discounted bus tickets.


concessionary bus travel

If you're aged 60 & over or registered disabled you can travel on our buses free of charge. Rules of travel differ from council to council, so check before you travel.
